Sully may be small in population, but it offers many activities for the whole family throughout the year.

The 4th of July celebration draws some of the biggest crowds to Sully. The day starts with a 5K fun run/walk and a freewill breakfast. The parade involves the whole community, including floats, school bands, and community members showing off their polished tractors, groomed horses, or decorated bikes. Stay the day in Sully and enjoy lunch on the square hosted by the Lions Club and let the kids play in the carnival. The afternoon is filled with tractor pulls and a co-ed softball tournament, and the celebration concludes with fireworks.

As part of a large farming community, tractors are a huge hit in Sully, making it a popular stop on various tractor rides. Visit Sully during one of the tractor rides to see many tractors, both old and new, and their owners.

The summer is filled with activities for both kids and their parents. The Sully Library offers a Summer Reading Program as well as Story Hour. Story Hour is held on Wednesday mornings and children (and their parents!) will enjoy stories, games, crafts, and snacks. The library also offers summer reading programs for kids that can read as well as those who are read to!

Summer also brings Kids Express! For one week in the summer, the YMCA of Newton visits the Sully square and brings their Kids Express program, which delivers hours of games and crafts for school-age kids.

Sully also offers activities in the winter. The town square is decorated for the season, and the town also boasts a lighted truck parade.
