The Lynnville-Sully Music and Drama Boosters sponsored a fantastic Jingle Bell Rock event in Sully on Saturday night, Dec. 1, 2012. The temperature was mild and the people and events were numerous, creating many memories for young and old alike. Londa and Jason Schnell and boosters parents, students, and teachers organized numerous events for the evening. Also during the day, Sully First Reformed Church held a Tour of Homes as a fundraiser for their building addition with over 350 guests visiting five area homes and over $5,800 raised from the tours and sale of cookies, decorations, and other items held at the church.

"A big thank you goes out to all of the volunteers, students, and teachers who helped to make Jingle Bell Rock happen. It took an army of helpers, and we appreciate every one of them. We didn't have judging for parade entries and it's a good thing because they were all outstanding! The good Lord took care of the weather and it was exciting to see the square full of Christmas spirit. I am already looking forward to next year," said Londa Schnell, key organizer of the first Jingle Bell Rock. The event, which drove hundreds of area residents to the Sully square for a beautiful evening of festivities, raised a total of $2,600 for the Lynnville-Sully Music and Drama Boosters.
