B.Z. Auto Company

The old saying “time flies when  you are having fun” has definitely been true here at B.Z. Auto Co. It is hard to believe we are approaching our 35th year in business. Nothing in life or business is easy, but being here in Sully, doing what we enjoy doing, helping people navigate through an automobile incident that is less than desirable, has proven to be a very satisfying career.

Store front of BZ AutoI opened B.Z. Auto on April Fools Day, 1991 (no foolin’) I honestly thought it would be something to do while I was waiting for a career opportunity to present itself. Thirty-four years later, here we are. I guess the damaged autos, in need of repair, have just kept coming.

Around six years into it, Dwayne Maasdam walked into the shop looking for a job. We have been working together ever since. He has been an amazing employee, and I also consider him an even greater friend. I am quite sure that isn’t always the case between an employer and employee.  His craftsmanship, attention to detail and work ethic are all a big part of why we have been here as long as we have. Also, being able to have my dad, Wayne Zegers, join in and work with us for a few years in his early retirement proved to be invaluable. Having his maintenance and automotive skills at the shop was always a great asset. To this day, Dwayne and I share memories of him helping us. Those stories are treasures we hold on to dearly!

I am very thankful for Sully and the surrounding communities that have allowed us to help them with their auto repair needs. The wide circle of friends and acquaintances that have developed from all the years here at B.Z. Auto is a large part of what makes being here in business so great! This is a wonderful community where people have a lot of pride in their automobiles and how they care for them. This has always been a very fulfilling business to be a part of. We are very appreciative to all of our past and future customers. Our goal is to continue on as long as there are mishaps in the world of automotive travel.

Most sincere thanks to you all,

Brad Zegers
