In 2022, Mitch Corell of Sully tinkered around with the idea of opening his own used car sales business in town, but changed directions in 2024 when he opted for repair, rather than sales. With this change, he looks forward to serving the community with Crown Auto, his car repair business and getting to know his customers.
“Due to the rising prices at auctions and lack of availability of decent used vehicles, I started to rethink my business model,” he said. “The experience I gained in refurbishing used cars, whether it be cosmetic or major mechanical repairs, led me to my decision to start doing repairs on customer vehicles.”
In addition to car and light truck repairs, Corell also does oil changes, tune-ups, brakes, shocks, and mounting/balancing tires. He offers small engine/lawn mower repair as well. Though this is his first time running a repair shop, Corell is no stranger to cars or mechanic work.
“I owned and operated a lawn care and snow removal business for about 14 years before I got into the car business,” he said. “I have been working on cars off and on for about 20 years; it’s something that I have always enjoyed, anything from basic maintenance to complete restoration.”
