Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of the City in Sully, Iowa on the 9th day of December 2024 at 7:00 pm for the purpose of considering vacation of certain real property owned by the City of Sully and approving the conveyance of said property.
The City of Sully proposes to vacate and convey real property described as:
The alley 16 ½ feet in width and 120 feet in length running due east and west located between Lots 2 and 3 in Block 18 in Brand’s Addition to the City of Sully, Iowa.
by Deed Without Warranty without abstract to Dennis Van Genderen and Nancy Van Genderen, husband and wife, as joint tenants with full rights of survivorship and not as tenants in common for the sum of $1.00. Consideration based on the fact that the parcel is not marketable.
Under the provisions of Iowa law, any interested person may appear at the hearing and file objections to the above proposed actions. After hearing any objections so filed or otherwise raised at such public hearing, the City Council of the City of Sully may then by resolution enter its decision on the proposed vacation and conveyance of said real property or any other aspect thereof.
This notice is published by order of the City Council of Sully, Iowa in accordance with Sections 362.3 and 364.7 of the Code of Iowa.
